We have some big news to share!

In a major milestone, we're excited to announce that our CEO and Co-founder John Hammersley is moving on from his position to take up a broader role within our parent company Digital Science as VP Researcher and Community Engagement.

December 2021, the month of Overleaf’s nine-year anniversary, was when we reached the nine million user milestone. So imagine our excitement when we reached the 10 million user milestone only five months later! We truly feel like lucky ducks!

In just 10 days time Overleaf will be nine years old! Nine! It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost a decade since John and I had our first conversations about WriteLaTeX that set us on the path that has led us to this point.

And in the run up to that particular milestone, another one has crept up on us…
